About the Project 


This project seeks to develop , design, and fabricate a reliable and affordable Multipurpose Mechanical machine that both professional engineers along anyone that has basic knowledge of tools/manufacturing equipment can operate. This machine is aimed to improve on efficiency and safety of its operator greatly. 


Project Objectives 

The objectives of the project are as follows :

Research and review of existing similar machinery

Develop and design a multipurpose mechanical machine including the following:

            - Capable and reliable.

-Use a comparison matrix to improve the efficiency of the design's functionality

-Improved  safety parameters for operators

-Develop a feature to make the machine partially portable

Concept validation - Propose concepts and use mathematical means to select final concept

Test - using appropriate testing software selected concept is to be virtually tested before fabrication proceeds

 Build and fabricate which refers to :

            -Create virtual design of all parts to be assembled

- Identify materials that would create a robust but cost effective product

- hand over to the workshop for prototype to be built

Final testing of prototype 

 

About Student 


My name is Kareem Ragbir , a 3rd year student studying Mechanical Engineering at The University of the West Indies , St.Augustine compound. Engineering is a passion of mine derived from my hobbies in the automotive industry or anything with an engine. I look forward to seeing this project come to life as it would give me the needed experience in the engineering field while placing a stepping stone to further my future.
